Project helping to build the Iron Mountain Trail
The Iron Mountain Trail will fill the gap in the Intemann Trail, and also fill one of the gaps in the Ring the Peak trail system. Volunteers will help build the trail over several project days this summer. Many organizations are helping.
Friends of the Peak is organizing the Iron Mountain project on Sunday, June 22, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Volunteers meet in the free parking lot behind Tajine Alami on Old Mans Trail, on the east side of Memorial Park.
As with most trail projects, bring water, lunch, snacks, work gloves, sunscreen, sturdy footwear, rain gear, layers, and anything else you would commonly bring on a hike.
