Project on the Mackinaw Trail on North Slope

Saturday, July 11

The Mackinaw Trail goes along the shore of North Catamount Reservoir.  It has some erosion problems.  Volunteers will work to mitigate those.

Volunteers meet at 7:30 a.m. to carpool and should be back to their cars around 4 or 4:30, weather depending.  We'll carpool to drive to North Slope and the trailhead.  Most of the work is near the trailhead.

Meet at the parking area behind the statue of The Prospector at the northwest corner of U.S. 24 and 21st Street.

As with most trail projects, bring water, lunch, snacks, work gloves, sunscreen, sturdy footwear, rain gear, clothing layers, and anything else you would commonly bring on a hike.
