Announcing VOC and FOTP collaboration

Founded in 1984, Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado (VOC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to motivating and enabling citizens to be active stewards of Colorado’s public lands. VOC is no stranger to Colorado Springs, or the Pikes Peak Region. Their first project in this area was with the Intemann Trail Committee in 1987. Since then, the list of local projects is long and varied. It includes Garden of the Gods, The Monument Valley Spine Trail, Palmer Park, and Catamount Trail and more. This year we will work together to create the western approach to the summit. With VOC’s technical expertise, leadership, and tools and a lot of local and VOC based volunteers we should be able to complete the top mile of trail in one weekend.
