Thank You Wild Oats!

By Steven Jennings

On January 13, FOTP received a substantial contribution from Wild Oats for the establishment of signage on the Ring the Peak Trail. Wild Oats opened a new store on Powers at North Carefree circle and in conjunction with their grand opening contributed $10,000 for this project. Perry Odak, President and CEO of Wild Oats Markets, said “Wild Oats is extremely pleased to partner with a community organization that works to restore and preserve the natural beauty of Pikes Peak.” Work is already underway to identify locations for signs, material for the signs and text for the signs. FOTP is very grateful for this monetary infusion into its efforts to preserve, protect and restore Pikes Peak. A team of volunteers began meeting in January and expects to begin placing signs as soon as the ground thaws.
