Trail Between Raspberry and Horsethief Park
This 4.7 mile section of the trail follows the Crags Road (Forest Service Rd. 383). If you are starting a counter
clockwise hike at Raspberry portal you might want to drive to the end of the road. Do not turn into the campgroung.
From the end of the road a trail
takes you over a ridge into Putney Gulch. After crossing the stream you will cross another ridge into Horsethief
Park. Before you reach the end of the FS 383 you will pass the turn off to the Crags Campground. At the end
of this road (FS 282.A) is the trailhead for the Crags, a collection of beautiful rock formations.
Motorized Vehicles: This segment from trailhead 5 to the end of the Craigs Road is open to all motor vehicles.
