Trail Between Gillett and Forest Service Road 376
This section of trail is not complete. The area between Pancake Rocks and Mason Reservoir
on the South Slope watershed is sensitive Bighorn Sheep habitat. Friends of the Peak is currently
negotiating with the Pikes Peak Ranger District of the U.S. Forest Service, Colorado Division of Wildlife and
the Colorado Springs Utilities for a trail corridor that will connect Pancake Rocks with Portal #8
without endangering the wildlife.
